Garrett G50 turbochargers are engineered for extreme horsepower applications. A new high-flowing inconel turbine wheel and a one-piece aluminum center housing are the two major features that differentiate the G50 from its predecessor.

Turbine Stage:

The newly engineered turbine wheel with optimized G Series aerodynamics increases flow up to 23% more (Compared to GTX Gen II, see graph below). G50 is offered with four stainless steel T6 open turbine housings in .96 A/R, 1.08 A/R, 1.23 A/R and 1.40 A/R.

Outlet length on T6 turbine hsg reduced 17mm compared to GTX to optimize weight reduction

Spool:

Up to +12% (estimated by flow, efficiency, and inertia)

Center Housing:

One-piece aluminum center housing reduces supercore weight. The center housing is air Cooled and retains the oil inlet and outlet specifications from previous GTX designs.

Compressor Stage:

Garrett G50 compressor stages are offered in

80mm | 109mm comp exducer | 88mm comp inducer | 120mm comp exducer with their own horsepower ratings indicated in the model name.
